NORWICH INVITATIONAL
- Players are urged to be near the 1st tee 5 minutes prior to their assigned tee time. See Rule 5.3a.
- Players must keep contact with the group ahead. Groups will be monitored if they fall “out of position”, a second warning could result in a penalty. (Officials will monitor play and USGA time standards will be applied to individual players.)
- Signed and attested score cards are to be turned in to the scorer’s table immediately upon completion of the round. Note: the committee will adjust and post scores on the GHIN system for players who provide their GHIN number. (Norwich member numbers are already in file).
- In the event of a tie for the CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT (The top 16) a sudden death playoff will begin 15 minutes after the starter’s call.
- Ties for seeding in the first through sixth flights will be broken using the USGA recommended method for matching cards (Scorecard Count Back), if still tied then by chance.
- Ties for MEDALIST will be decided using the USGA recommended method (scorecard count back). The Committee has the final say in all tie breaking matters.
- Caddies are not allowed during Friday qualifying. Riding carts are allowed.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY
- Players are reminded to be near the first tee one starting time prior to their assigned time.
- Flights 2 through 6 – tied matches will be decided by sudden death starting on the 16th hole. If the match is still tied after 3 holes go back to number 16 again. Committee reserves the right to change “sudden Death Holes”.
- Championship and First flight ties will be sudden death starting on the first hole.
